This dataset comprises both the bounding lines relating to the political boundary delineation for the State of Delaware (to the North, West, and South) as well as the shoreline taken from the 2002 orthophotos of Delaware (to the East.) This is not the official state boundary but rather represents the outline of the state land areas. It was developed through a joint effort between DGS and USGS in support of USGS's The National Map project and the Delaware's Spatial Data Framework/DataMIL project.
